Learning, Design & Technology Graduate Certificates

For professionals who want to enhance their teaching and technology skills, the University of Houston College of Education offers four graduate-level certificate programs to help. These programs are designed for those who work in K – 12 education, higher education or private industry.

  • Format: Online only or hybrid, depending on course selection
  • Completed certificate coursework may be used toward a graduate degree in the College of Education with approval.

Graduate Certificate in Designing and Developing Educational Graphics

This program helps educators use visual communication to improve student engagement and understanding. Learn the process of developing, designing and publishing effective educational graphics. Students complete four courses and a mini-portfolio with artifacts from their courses and a reflection. Course options:

Graduate Certificate in Designing and Developing Educational Multimedia

Students learn to create effective audio, visual and digital media to enhance teaching and learning in today’s multimedia environment. Students complete four courses and a mini-portfolio with artifacts from their courses and a reflection. Course options:

Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning

Students gain critical skills to deliver effective online instruction based on the latest research and best practices. Learn to design engaging coursework, integrate technology and evaluate learning through distance education. Students complete four courses and a mini-portfolio with artifacts from their courses and a reflection. Course options:
