Operation Fusion

Volunteer
Operation Fusion, a project of the Honors in Community Health organization, empowers refugee and immigrant youth through health education. Volunteers deliver engaging workshops on topics like nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. In addition to leading workshops, volunteers participate in bi-weekly focus groups, contributing to lesson planning and team collaboration. Sessions are held Fridays from 2-3 PM at Las Americas Newcomer School, with plans to expand to an additional location this semester. Tutor
We are looking for strong tutors to meet with our elementary-aged students. Tutors should have demonstrated experience and enthusiasm with young students, and should be familiar with standard benchmarks for elementary learning. Tutors should also have strong ACT or SAT scores. One-to-one tutoring typically takes place at our office but may also take place in a client's home, and tutors will have flexibility with scheduling and assignments. YWLC Intern
This is a great opportunity for college students passionate about leadership, social impact, and mentorship! The Young Women's Leadership Challenge (YWLC) is a year-long program for high school girls, powered by college interns. From mid-May through August, interns will dedicate up to 150 hours to work in-person with a highly collaborative team. Interns will learn to facilitate our curriculum on assertiveness, global citizenship, conflict resolution, career exploration, media literacy, financial literacy, self-defense, and more. The team will receive ample facilitation training in addition to helping with program management, event planning, and administrative tasks.
