Kwanzaa Ends

A week-long annual celebration of African-American culture that is based on harvest festival traditions from various parts of Africa. Traditions include celebration of seven principles of African Heritage and a communal feast, called Karamu, on the sixth day of observance.

31st Annual MLK Grande Parade
  • Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Location: Midtown Houston: 1200 Holman Street, Houston, TX 77004
The MLK Grande Parade will be held in Midtown Houston originating on San Jacinto Street & Elgin Street. The parade's theme is "Unity Through Diversity" and will feature culturally diverse performance groups from across the nation. Watch live on the CW 39-Houston.
