Digital Humanities Core

Crafted as a partnership between the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute and UH Libraries, the Digital Humanities Core (DHC) consolidates technological infrastructure, research tools and interdisciplinary expertise to establish a digital project production and publishing facility for UH researchers. The DHC is housed and administered by UH Libraries.

Services and Programs

    Technology Infrastructure

    The DHC provides multidisciplinary teams with web and cloud hosting infrastructure for their digital project through Reclaim Hosting solutions. The DHC hosting portal contains hosting solutions, publishing platforms and applications for project development. DHC staff will provide onboarding and training for project teams interested in leveraging the hosting resources.

  • Education

    The DHC offers a Micro-credentialing in the Digital Humanities program that trains faculty, graduate and undergraduate scholars in core competencies that underpin digital humanities project planning and development.

    Programming

    The DHC offers several complementary programs, including DH@UH, micro-salon experiences and additional interdisciplinary training and learning opportunities for scholars at all levels.

DH Micro-credential

The Digital Humanities Core offers micro-credentialing programs along three tracks. Faculty and doctoral students may apply directly through the DHC, and instructors may engage the DHC to embed programming within their graduate and undergraduate courses.
