Testimonials

"Undergraduate research has taught me to think critically and responsibly about the world around me. The impact that research has on various communities is something to consider while doing these projects. These research experiences have only compelled me to pursue more research opportunities that benefit and support marginalized communities.” - Jayda Branch, Psychology

Undergraduate research has given me confidence in my work that I didn't have before. I didn't think I had a place in academia outside of earning my degree, but research at this stage has taught me how to ask questions and contribute to a conversation, no matter how obscure the research topic seems at first.” - Owen Lartson, English

UH undergraduate researchers get the chance to present their independent research and funded, faculty-mentored projects at the University’s annual Undergraduate Research Day each spring.
