Anniversary Book Commemorates 50 Reasons We ARE Hospitality
Turning 50 is a milestone to be embraced and celebrated. On behalf of Dean Dennis Reynolds, we are proud and excited to have published a hard-covered commemorative book titled “Celebrating 50 Reasons We ARE Hospitality.”
This legacy piece presents a collection of stories that have made Hilton College what it is today. From its humble beginnings to the Dean’s vision for our future, this book details our first class of 39 students and three professors who met on September 16, 1969, Conrad N. Hilton’s donation of a $1.5 million naming gift to establish our hospitality program, and larger-than-life Founding Dean James C. Taylor, who was the driving force behind making our College and hotel a reality. And so much more!
Researched and produced completely in-house over the last nine months by our talented communications department – Debbie Maurer, Katie Guidroz, Pearl Cajoles and graduate assistant Nicole Olavarria-Key (pictured) – this 144-page book paints a comprehensive picture of where we started and how far we’ve come thanks to the remarkable strides made by so many.
The digital version has now been posted to our website. Books have also been mailed to our alumni, donors and industry partners. If you did not receive one, please update your contact information so we can make sure it hasn’t been lost in the mail and send you a copy along with other College mailings throughout the year. If you are not an alumnus or would like to purchase additional copies of the book, click here.
Enjoy these 50 stories – and happy anniversary to us all!
