Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton Worldwide since 2007, epitomizes founder and famed hotelier Conrad N. Hilton’s pledge to “fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality.”
A dedicated family man and father of six daughters, Nassetta’s leadership strategy is focused primarily on creating and maintaining a strong company culture—something that’s served him well throughout his entire career. In his current role, Nassetta oversees all 12 brands of Hilton Worldwide, comprised of more than 4,400 hotels, resorts and timeshare properties in 97 countries and territories. Before taking the helm at Hilton, Nassetta spent 12 years with Host Hotels & Resorts, first as an executive vice president, then COO and eventually as president and CEO. Prior to that, he co-founded and oversaw operations for Bailey Capital Corporation, a real-estate investment and advisory firm, and spent seven years at The Oliver Carr Company, ultimately becoming its chief development officer, where he was responsible for all development and related activities for one of the largest commercial real estate companies in the mid-Atlantic region. Nassetta serves on multiple boards and organizations, including the World Travel & Tourism Council, International Youth Foundation, Partners for a New Beginning, CoStar Group, Inc., The Real Estate Roundtable, Federal City Council, The Economic Club of Washington, D.C., Arlington Free Clinic, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A proud graduate of the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, Nassetta holds a degree in finance and currently serves on the school’s advisory board. He currently lives in his hometown of Arlington, Virginia, with his wife. |
