Students that wish to declare a major in Psychology may fill out a general petition in room 124 Heyne Building or you may download the form from this page and email your petition to advappt@central.uh.edu. An appointment is not necessary for declaring a Psychology major.

Before you submit your petition please make sure you meet the following requirements:

1. A minimum UH GPA of 2.0

2. Must be enrolled in a PSYC course at the time of major declaration.

3. No financial holds on your account

Please make sure you indicate if you are declaring a B.A. or B.S. in Psychology on the petition.

Current UH students can make an appointment with a Psychology academic advisor or check for drop-in times through the Navigate App. The advisor will answer your questions and concerns and will review the requirements for the psychology major only.
