Global and Intercultural Communication
Global and intercultural communication focuses on communication patterns and platforms between and among people across national borders and cultural groups with the aim of understanding the transfer of knowledge, opinions, and values across national and cultural boundaries.
Students in this concentration learn to critique and apply theories in intercultural communication, global communication, and those in the specialty areas such as health communication, public relations, and mass communication.
This concentration helps students develop intercultural and cross-cultural competencies and skills so they can be effective communicators in global and intercultural contexts.
