Evolve Houston Launch

By Ed Bailey

Evolve Houston will hold its official relaunch event August 18, 2022 at the George R. Brown Convention Center (3rd floor), celebrating its partnerships with the City of Houston and Texas along with highlighting its work toward clean transportation.

The University of Houston is a founding member of Evolve, which is focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through transportation electrification. Evolve has been identified as a key player in Houston’s aspirations regarding its Climate Action Plan – which aims to make the city carbon neutral by 2050 – and is hard at work to further solidify Houston as a leader in transportation technology while helping to improve air quality for our residents.

The electric vehicle revolution within the greater Houston area continues to strengthen; to accurately represent these efforts, Evolve introduced its new brand and website earlier this year.

To celebrate Evolve’s 2022 relaunch and Houston’s eMobility initiatives, Evolve is bringing Texas together to celebrate the meaningful collaboration within Houston and across the state that has inspired the regional advancement of clean transportation.

This event is an opportunity to hear first-hand about Houston’s latest eMobility initiatives from Mayor Sylvester Turner as well as representatives from fellow founding members: the City of Houston, CenterPoint Energy, NRG Energy, Shell and other organizations playing a leading role in this effort.

The proceedings will begin at 8 a.m. To register for the event, click HERE.
