Moores School Symphony Orchestra: Montague, Prokofiev & Sibelius

Friday, November 22, 2024

7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This performance of the Moores School Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by the English conductor, Stephen Threlfall. Maestro Threlfall has conducted the Moores School & TMF orchestras before, and is always a hit with MSM students and audiences. He has programmed the incomparable Sibelius 7th Symphony, Sibelius’ “most remarkable compositional achievement.” Maestro Threlfall will also collaborate on this concert with London-based composer, Stephen Montague, who will be in residence at the Moores School of Music this Fall. Mr. Montague’s most popular orchestral work, At the White Edge of Phrygia, will open the program. And, the always incredible, memorable delivery of our Moores School Concerto Competition divisional winner will also be “front and center” on this exciting and varied program.
