Moody Towers, the iconic twin, 18-story residence halls at the University of Houston (UH), stands as a testament to the enduring generosity of William L. Moody and his wife, Libbie Shearn. In 1966, the Moody Foundation bestowed a landmark $1 million grant to UH, a transformative gift that underscored their commitment to education and student well-being. Named in honor of William L. Moody, Moody Towers have since become integral to student life, accommodating 1,100 students within the Division of Student Affairs and Student Housing and Residential Life. This historic contribution, made during the tenure of President Philip G. Hoffman, remains a cornerstone of UH's legacy, enriching the university community and providing a home away from home for generations of students. 

Moody Tower North Eligibility Requirements:

• Sophomore standing or higher or
• Age 20 or older by Sept. 1 or
• Returning Resident who participates in Priority Room Selection

Moody Tower South Eligibility Requirement:

• Newly admitted Freshman
