The Power of Microagressions with Dr. Derald Wing Sue

Dr. Derald Wing Sue will visit the University of Houston for a conversation on Intent vs Impact: The Power of Microaggressions on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:30pm in the Student Center Bayou City Room.

The campus community is invited to contribute to the conversation around the power of micro-aggressions, how they show up within our community and the steps we can take together to create more inclusive spaces on campus.

Dr. Derald Sue is a professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University and his research and interests include the psychology of race and antiracism, cultural diversity and competence, racial microaggressions and multicultural organizational development. He has authored two books, “Theory of Multicultural Counseling” and “Therapy and Understanding Abnormal Behavior”.
