University of Houston’s Center for Diversity & Inclusion Hosts the Inside Out Project

The University of Houston’s Center for Diversity & Inclusion is proud to host the Inside Out Project, a global art project that allows individuals to get their portraits taken and make a statement of what they stand for in the world. This event will take place on Tuesday, December 5 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Inside Out Project will focus on the topic of immigration and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, (DACA). It will be a beautiful and powerful installation featuring Houston Dreamers and those who are part of their community.

Anyone can participate, and attendees are challenged to use photographic portraits to share the untold stories and images of people in their communities. Their actions are documented, archived, and exhibited online at www.insideoutproject.net. Over 100,000 posters have been seen in more than 108 countries since March 2011. The event is free of charge.

The Inside Out Project is co-sponsored with Pantsuit Republic, United We Dream Houston, Mi Familia Vota, and Emerson Collective.

Portraits will be displayed on the plaza between the Student Center North & Student Center South buildings from December 5 until December 15.
