After a search process that included a very strong pool of candidates, Kim Clark was announced as the new Director of Campus Recreation, effective February 1, 2012. Kim brings almost 20 years of professional experience within a variety of areas in campus recreation to her new role.
She has experience administering programs and facilities, student development through participation and employment, supervising professional staff, developing strategic plans, annual budgets, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners.
She possesses a strong background in facility management and operations, including direct involvement with the design and construction of multiple facilities ranging from expansions and renovations to new construction.
Currently, Kim is the Associate Director of Campus Recreation at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and recently concluded an appointment as the Interim Director. Prior to UNCG, Kim held positions as the Assistant Director and Coordinator in the Department of Campus Recreation at the University of Arizona. She is actively involved with the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association and currently serves as the Director of Competition for the United States Tennis Association National Campus Championship.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration from the University of North Texas and a Master of Science in Sport Administration from the University of Arizona.
