Morgan Josey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting diverse individuals and groups in various settings, including outpatient clinics, veterinary medicine, and college environments. Her professional interests encompass the human-animal bond, disenfranchised grief, self-esteem, and identity development. Morgan is passionate about empowering self-advocacy, helping establish and maintain healthy boundaries, and leveraging community engagement to tackle social determinants of health, ultimately enhancing access to essential services.
She has delivered presentations on topics such as boundary setting, communication, grief, compassion fatigue, mental health and well-being, and end-of-life care. Before joining the CAPS team, Morgan served as an associate counselor at a tertiary veterinary hospital, where she guided veterinary students and staff in navigating emotionally charged discussions around end-of-life care and chronic illness, particularly addressing the needs of clients experiencing disenfranchised grief.
In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending quality moments with her family and exploring new places through travel.
