Geriatric Medication Safety Symposium

Funded by the National Institute on Aging, the Geriatric Medication Safety Symposium is a collaboration between the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and the UTHealth McGovern Medical School to share the latest research and developments in the medication safety in long-term care, inpatient and community settings, adverse drug events, and other issues related to pharmaceutical care in the older adult patient population.
The multidisciplinary symposium offers plenary sessions and workshops for practitioners, researchers, students, residents and fellows in the fields of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and dentistry. The event also features awards for poster and podium presentations, and all accepted abstracts will be eligible (but not required) to be published in a special supplement of the journal Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy.
